We’re all in this togetherAt times like these it’s only natural that many of us are thinking about our future. So it’s reassuring to know that we have super. One of the best systems in the world. As stock markets in Australia and around the world react to the coronavirus, Industry SuperFunds are continuing to invest to achieve superior long-term returns for members and are well placed to ride out short-term downturns in the economy. They do this by investing across a wide range of asset classes, including unlisted property and infrastructure. |

MEa culpaME says sorry. You may have seen that ME Bank recently made changes to one of their older home loan products, resulting in some of customers having their redraw limit reduced. The bank say these were adjusted to protect some customers from the risk of redrawing too much money, putting them behind their repayment schedule. ME Bank has since apologised in newspapers all over Australia for the lack of communication. |

Vale Jack MundeyThe union movement is devastated to hear of the passing of Jack Mundey and we offer our condolences to Judy, family and his comrades. Jack changed the face and direction of unionism in our country and was part of transforming the status and jobs of “brickies” into jobs with rights and respect. Jack lead the NSW BLF from 1968 to 1975 and under his leadership pioneered the “green bans” movement forming alliances with local residents to save the environment, our heritage and to stand up to injustice. |
