Rally for Women’s Justice – Andrew Laming needs to go

Local residents and protestors in the Redland City-based electorate of Bowman joined with March4Justice, to rally for respect, justice, and equality for the women of Redlands and calling for the sacking of federal MP Andrew Laming.  

The rally walked through Cleveland and came together near Andrew Laming’s office in the suburb of Cleveland. Senator Penny Wong spoke to the rally outlining allegations of Andrew Laming’s behaviour towards women – online, and in person.

Senator Penny Wong shared how appalled she was after speaking with some of the women alleged to have been subjected to Andrew Laming’s behaviour. She expressed how shocked she was at how scared some women are, shocked at the extent of the allegations of harassment and shocked at how far they date back.  

The women who are speaking out are shining examples of why Bowman needs a change.
