You’re never alone when you’re a union member

Our working lives have seen a dramatic turnaround in the past few years and it’s not just because of the pandemic.  

Insecure jobs are on the rise, more Australians are working multiple jobs and real wages have been going backwards.  

Some workers may well be feeling alone right now. But we know it doesn’t have to be that way.  

Many of us already have unionised workplaces where we can thrive and build great relationships. 

We are all now navigating a new post-pandemic work environment. None of us really know what the future of work will look like – but that’s okay – we’re figuring it out together.  

If you’re already in a unionised workplace – great. You already know how healthy conversations between employers, employees and delegates result in fairer and safer workplaces.   

We need to make sure all workers can enjoy the benefits of a unionised workplace – whether that be safer and more respectful work, higher wages or reducing the gender pay gap.  

But why are we telling you this? You already know the advantages to being a union member. Now we want the rest of working Australia to know too.   

That’s why we’ve created this TV ad to show all workers that there is protection and support when you need it. Joining a union is such a crucial first step in making workplaces safer for all workers.
